About the Role
Clearstory is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with strong Golang experience to help guide best practices and elevate engineering standards across the team. This role includes hands-on development, as well as coaching peers on how to write clean, maintainable, and scalable Golang code. You’ll contribute to product development across the stack and play a key role in improving backend design, performance, and reliability.
You will:
- Build fullstack product features with React (TypeScript and Node.js) and Golang
- Introduce and reinforce backend best practices across the engineering team
- Review and mentor on code structure, testing, and design patterns
- Collaborate with product and design to develop scalable, user-focused features
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and uphold quality standards

Required Experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years writing production code in Golang
- Solid experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, performance tuning, and backend architecture
- Skilled in writing unit and integration tests
- Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pub/sub or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines or backend data workflows
- Exposure to SOC 2, GDPR, or CCPA compliance environments
- Prior experience in SaaS, FinTech, or ConTech industries
