Clearstory.build is a dynamic and innovative SaaS platform serving the construction industry that connects contractors to collaborate on out of contract work (Change Orders). Our platform allows construction companies to invite peers, creating a powerful community of interconnected users. A big part of our strategy is integrating with our customers financial systems. This role will focus on delivering out-of-the-box integrations and expanding APIs that connect the Clearstory platform to key customer and partner systems to share data and optimize their workflows.

Role Overview

The Senior Backend Engineer for Integrations will play a critical role growing our integrations with key applications that drive our customers' day to day business. This includes designing and building intuitive endpoints which provide data and workflows that our customers use to track extra work, creating API documentation that any developer can use to quickly become productive using them, and supporting customers who use the integrations.

We are growing rapidly and need to continue evolving our systems to scale. Our customers love us, and now we need to scale our rocketship! We believe in in-person collaboration. This role is hybrid remote in our Walnut Creek office. This means you will work 3 days a week in the office and have two days to WFH or come in at your discretion.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our Product Development team members to define, create and maintain our new API while supporting existing integrations with our partners and customers.
• Develop comprehensive documentation to make it incredibly easy for partners and customers to leverage our API.
• Optimize API performance and reliability to handle high volumes of data transactions and ensure minimal downtime.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure API access and protect sensitive data.
• Work seamlessly with Clearstory’s integration partners to solve problems and identify opportunities for better performance.

• Creating the next generation of our publicly available API that will be used by customers and industry partners to integrate with Clearstory
• Enhancing our existing integrations, for instance with Procore, PlanGrid and CMiC, to provide more data and features for our customers. Building net new integrations with other leading financial products in our industry.
