SUMMARY:
Aeroseal is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer that will assist us in our mission by designing, developing and releasing to production new and innovative design solutions and products for our construction industry customers to deliver disruptive technology solutions for the construction and home improvement industry.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- BSME or equivalent
- 3+ years relevant, demonstratable experience in a design/release role.
- CAD/CAE Proficiency
- Ability to work both within a team setting as well as individually
- Great communication skills. Ability to provide direction to technical staff in clear, concise manner, as well as provide program updates to management/team-mates.
- Fully fluent/functional with MS Office tools suite
- Ability to internalize project requirements and deadlines, holding a keen sense of delivery to corporate, team and individual objectives.
- A hands-on approach to design of experiment and executing tests
Responsibilities
- Work within a defined Product Development Process to: Create Product/System Requirements Documents
- Create designs which meet those requirements, with a keen eye to best design practices the support concepts of: Robust Design
- Design for Manufacturability/Serviceability; Continuous improvement
- Develop DFMEA and DVP documents for the designs
- Assist Manufacturing and Quality Engineering as they develop Process, Process FMEA, Production test tools, Control Plans, Quality plan and metrics
- Test as per the design DVP and document results with clear, concise reports.
- Review vendor component technical data sheets, source components (both off-shelf and custom designs).
- Create new technical drawings and specifications, defining critical performance characteristics.
- Conduct and support field trials of the developed products.
- Build, load, and release Bill of Material structures in conjunction with the manufacturing process.
- Other duties, as assigned.
The estimated pay range for this role is $75,000-$110,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
